今年不是我第一次在台灣跨年，就是我第一次跟宜暄的家人跨年。宜暄的爸爸把我們帶去愛河的海邊，我還記得我們到了那裡的時候天氣 真的很冷。

Although I have celebrated the new year in Taiwan before this was my first year to celebrate it with Cecilia’s family. Cecilia’s Dad drove the whole family out to 高雄 (gao1 xiong2) . I still remember how cold it was when we finally got there.

2008跨年也是我第一次看過王力宏的live音樂會，對我來說他很會唱歌。力宏上台之前，他的DJ給力宏一個蓋世英雄介紹。大家都很開心的時候， 蓋世英雄上台，果然開始唱蓋世英雄給大家聽。

This was also my first year to see 王力宏 [wang2 li4 hong2] in concert. He is an excellent entertainer. Before 力宏 [li4 hong2] got on stage his DJ, named E-turn, warmed up the crowd, giving 力宏 [li4 hong2] a hero’s welcome. Fisrt, he asks the crowd to repeat after him, “When I say Matchless, you say Hero”. Next he says, “When I say Hero, you say 力宏 [li4 hong2]“. Finally, just before the star of the show gets on stage, E-Turn shouts, “The matchless hero has arrived”. Li hong then begins singing 蓋世英雄 [gai4 shi4 ying1 xiong2] Matchless Hero.
